Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Minimum of7-10 years of progressive experiencein a strategic communications role. University degreein Public Relations/Communications. Provenexecution of communication and stakeholder engagement strategiesin a corporate environment. Strategiccommunications planning and project management experience . Experience in development and execution of bothinternal and external communication strategiesand tactics in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills . Demonstratedinitiativeandaccountability to deliver results . Experience inleading through influence– holds others accountable in a positive and effective manner outside of having direct authority. Superiorrelationship building skillswith an ability to prioritize collaborative engagement with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Confident and articulate , able to share ideas while maintaining a strong sense of team, while continually evaluating what is best for the organization. Must have a continuing record of professional development. Experience in the forestry industry, or other resource-based manufacturing business considered an asset. Provide strategic counsel and communications support to Tolko leaders and team members at all levels of the organization. Collaborate with Operating and Service Teams to bolster employee engagement and strategic alignment through the use of standardized tools and processes across the business. Understand, appropriately engage, and be an ambassador for the services model, our brand, and communication processes on behalf of the Communications Team. Work as part of an emergency response team to support issues affecting Tolko. Prepare briefs for senior management as required.
