The selected candidate will be pivotal in advancing Moskowitz Capital's mortgage portfolio by assuming mortgage underwriting responsibilities. Reporting directly to senior management offers a chance to learn from industry experts and engage in real deals alongside the Moskowitz Capital team. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will seize the opportunity to build upon Moskowitz Capital's proven success. Key responsibilities include: - Identifying and evaluating new mortgage lending prospects - Conducting due diligence, encompassing financial statement analysis, applicant interviews, lease and construction contract reviews, appraisal assessments, legal document scrutiny, and environmental report analysis - Drafting and presenting investment summaries to the investment committee - Collaborating with legal professionals for legal due diligence - Facilitating transaction closures by liaising with stakeholders like lawyers, brokers, and consultants - Assisting in the administration of the mortgage portfolio - Occasional travel for due diligence purposes Desired Skills and Expertise This role demands a proactive self-starter with a strong drive for success.
