Extended health benefits, wellness program, RRSP, paid time off Our client is a successful and well-established consulting firm offering engineering and land surveying services to municipalities, First Nations, and private organizations across the interior of British Columbia.Due to the company’s expansion, they are adding a Senior Civil Engineer to their Kamloops, BC office. The new hire will be working with small local government clients and local developers, guiding projects that bring meaningful change to communities while leading, managing, and motivating various project teams and more junior employees.This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work in a family-feel atmosphere and within an engaging and collaborative team. A flexible schedule and possibility to work from home on a hybrid model will be offered, if preferred. Intermediate Civil Engineers will be considered as well.Responsibilities:Managing and working collaboratively with project teams of Engineers, EITs, Technologists, and other professionals to deliver municipal and land development projects of varying complexityAct as the Engineer-of-Record for projects that fit within the proponent’s professional expertise and areas of interestLiaise and support relationships with clients, approving agencies, and other consulting professionalsSupporting project teams on many aspects of the design, field inspections, and contract administrationTravel to project sites within the interior BC (day trips only and when needed)Qualifications:7+ years of experience in land development or municipal engineering in a consulting or municipal environmentRegistered or immediately eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with EGBCExperience as a technical design engineer and project manager on municipal infrastructure or land development projects, liaising with clients and other professionals, and MMCD contract administrationExperience in WaterCAD, PCSWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ESRIDemonstrated report writing skills, and proficient written and verbal English communication skillsPassion for leading, managing, and motivating project teamsAbility to define problems, prioritize tasks, and maintain a community-driven perspectiveGenuine curiosity, a desire to innovate, and expand personal and company knowledgeWhat our client offers:$120-150k base + profit sharingExtended health benefits, wellness program, RRSP, paid time off Bio Senior Recruiter at Goldbeck Recruiting Inc.
