XNRGY is seeking a qualified Senior-Buyer (Product) to join its team located in St-Hubert. The person in this position will be responsible for the procurement of direct materials essential to XNRGY’s manufacturing operations. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials. The Senior Buyer will work closely with the engineering and production teams to support the company’s goals of sustainability and operational excellence. An overview of your responsibilities: • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct materials, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives for quality, cost, and delivery. • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and negotiations to ensure continuous improvement and cost reduction. • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all materials meet XNRGY’s stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Cost Management: Monitor market trends and analyze data to make informed purchasing decisions that optimize costs while maintaining quality. • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of direct materials to prevent shortages and overstock situations, ensuring a smooth production flow. • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, production, and logistics teams to understand material requirements and resolve any supply chain issues. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including potential disruptions and supply shortages. • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. What you'll need, among other things • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on direct materials in a manufacturing environment. • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • High ethical standards and integrity.
