Who are we?

XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air treatment systems focused on research and energy development contributing to the reduction of carbon footprint. XNRGY is seeking a qualified Senior-Buyer (Non Product) to join its team located in St-Hubert.

The person in this position will play a critical role in XNRGY’s supply chain operations activities, focusing on the procurement of indirect goods and services that support the company’s manufacturing, operational and offices needs. This role requires a proficient thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a strong understanding of procurement best practices.

An overview of your responsibilities:

• Procurement Management: Source, negotiate, and procure indirect goods and services, including office supplies, IT, manufacturing tools and equipment, maintenance services, and any other non-production related goods.

• Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.

• Cost Control: Implement cost-saving strategies and monitor budget compliance to optimize expenditure on non-product items.

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate trends, and make informed procurement decisions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, finance, IT and administration, to understand their needs and provide effective procurement support.

• Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of non-production items, ensuring optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations.

What you'll need, among other things!

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an industrial environment.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of contract law and purchasing best practices.

• Proactive and results oriented.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
