Located in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal, this plant is not only the centre par
excellence of the largest players in the aerospace industry for landing gear repair and
maintenance, but also the plant that is recognized for the manufacture of the famous legs of the
Apollo 11 lunar module.

Summary of position:

You will have the chance to showcase your skills in a stimulating and high-tech environment.
Acting as responsible for purchasing activities for indirect goods and services is a critical activity in achieving the organization's objectives.
Your skills will be used to analyze requisitions, issue purchase orders, obtain manufacturing plans/techniques, negotiate prices, conditions, delivery times and all other classic tasks such as printing orders. purchases. You will be in charge of several files and your ability to follow up closely with suppliers to ensure delivery within the required deadlines.

Main responsibilities:

• Validate the various required materials and/or processes
• Negotiate with suppliers and identify suppliers when necessary.
• Analyze requisitions in line with established procedures
• Analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery times
• Issue purchasing orders, obtain manufacturing plans/techniques when required
• Manage contracts and files
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery of products in compliance with prescribed deadlines
• Update the system with the latest delivery information
• Identify and communicate critical situations with management
• Visit suppliers to resolve issues as required
• Keep scheduling settings up to date
• Manage supplier performance (monitoring and feedback)
• Represent program procurement at operations meetings when required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration or College diploma in a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a buyer, ideally in a technical environment.
•Good communicator with strong work organization skills
•Strong ability to prioritize, time management and achieve results.
•Quick learning with strong negotiation skills.
•Bilingual French and English, spoken and written
•Experience in customer service, account management is a major asset.
•Knowledge of an MRP / ERP system (asset)
