They are involved throughout the project lifecycle by capturing and documenting requirements, test strategy/plans, test cases, execution of testing, sign off, summary and implementation into production.This position does not have any direct reports.Major Areas of ResponsibilityDeliverexcellence and develop a deep, multilayered understanding of the business issues and the data challenges of the clients’ organizations and their industries.Ensure requirements are clear and complete, eliminating uncertainties and ambiguities.Establish the quality of solutions through validation against the requirements.Demonstrate collegial teamwork internally and with clients, by communicating clearly with all project team members to identify and resolve issues for successful delivery.Escalate issues promptly when required.Participate in the development of project plans to establish appropriate workload expectations and schedules.Own the responsibility to meet deadlines and strive to complete work in accordance with project plans.Drive and own requirements by gathering all requirements that are a part of the overall project.Create detailed, functional, and non-functional requirements documents, review and obtain sign off from key stakeholders.Provide ongoing updates and review throughout the project lifestyle.Create and execute test strategy/plans and test cases.Own defect management and drive regression testing if required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAround 5-8 years’ experience on technical projects including 5 as a Business Systems AnalystDetailed, practical working knowledge in SDLC methodologies, specifically Agile and WaterfallExperience working with Databases, Data Warehouses, Analytics and ReportingExperiencein ETLExperience in SQL, Teradata, or OracleGeneral Knowledge in Analytics / Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau or Power BI) and Cloud (Snowflake, AWS, GCP or Azure)Demonstrated skills in Documenting requirements e.g. BRD, SRS, Test Documents, MOP, Data Mapping, or Data DictionariesCollaborating with internal teams (Project X ltd.), external teams (non-Project X 3rd parties), and client team membersCritical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindsetBachelors Degree, preferably in Software or Computer Science/Engineering fields or related industry experience or acumenNice to have:Prior experience as a Data Analyst is an assetExperience in SnowflakePrior experience working with clients in the retail industryIn our commitment to promote fair and equitable treatment of all employees and applicants, Project X Ltd. provides equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of age, sex, disability, race, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sexual orientation, marital status or any other ground as described in the Ontario Human Rights Code.
