This will include an integrated platform for relationship and people management, learning, intranet and data warehouse. In order to achieve all this, we are now looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support our Time Tracking and Scheduling function.

As Senior Business Analyst, Time Tracking and Scheduling, you will be responsible for the selection, configuration, and implementation, of an advanced scheduling application for The Salvation Army in Canada & Bermuda. This application will be used to support the unique scheduling and workforce management needs of The Salvation Army’s Health Care sector. As part of this effort, you will play a critical role in establishing scalable and effective workforce management processes including capacity planning, scheduling, operation efficiency and employee facing processes. This will be done in partnership with our Ministry Units across Canada & Bermuda as well as our IT functions.

This will be a temporary, full-time position for a 10-month contract.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead planning sessions with leaders and business managers to understand current state requirements and improve business processes related to Workforce Management & Scheduling
  • Support the development of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and the assessment and selection process for an advanced scheduling application.
  • Lead technical requirements gathering and process design sessions alongside subject matter experts, external partners, and program team members.
  • Configure the selected advanced scheduling tool based on requirements gathering initiative.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, shift patterns, and unique rules within the advanced scheduling application.
  • Partner with the Workday team to build and maintain integrations to the advanced scheduling application.
  • Complete full cycle testing including unit testing and end-to-end testing to troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on time tracking and scheduling processes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to all stakeholders and partners.
  • Stay updated on best practices to continually improve system functionality.

What you bring to the table:

  • 7-10 years of experience with Workforce Management and business operations knowledge (Healthcare industry knowledge would be an asset)
  • Business analyst experience is a requirement, including ability to document and validation business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of workforce management principles and practices.
  • Experience managing Scheduling and/or Time Tracking software within a complex, unionized setting.
  • Experience working in project management environments, including familiarity with tools like Azure Dev Ops
  • Proficiency in data analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience with Workday Time Tracking module is an asset
  • Experience with Shift Link, Comvida, Staff Schedule Care, Goeasycare, Legion, and/or Kronos would be an asset.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $113,343 (mid.) to $136,011 (max). Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
