If you're a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a knack for detail, apply now to contribute to critical healthcare initiatives in British Columbia.Advantages• Contribute directly to vital healthcare initiatives within British Columbia by mapping dependencies crucial for efficient application management.• Opportunity to lead and engage with diverse stakeholders, honing your skills in project management and stakeholder coordination.• Work with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies in Excel and Power BI to analyze and visualize complex data sets, enhancing your technical expertise.• Collaborate closely with internal teams and application owners, fostering a dynamic and supportive work environment where teamwork is valued.• Play a strategic role in maintaining and enhancing the Application Master Spreadsheet, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory standards and corporate guidelines.Responsibilities• Generate reports and presentation materials using Excel and PowerPoint.• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and analyze IT systems/applications.• Map applications to cross-functional business capabilities.• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including mapping and catalogs.• Assist in implementing and maintaining the "Application Master Spreadsheet."• Conduct consulting activities and methodologies for comprehensive application discovery, analysis, and technical/business discussions.• Provide analytical support to assess the feasibility of application enhancements.• Verify application functionality by testing versions of applications.• Ensure consistency and compliance of all components with relevant regulatory, departmental, IT, and corporate standards, policies, and guidelines.• Utilize expertise in Application Dependency Mapping to analyze how applications impact IT infrastructure and understand their links to other services and infrastructure.• Possess familiarity with infrastructure architecture, including basic networking, telemetry, compute, hypervisor, operating system, load balancing, and storage.• Understand application and systems architecture, defining components, interactions, and overall structure, including n-tier, database, and web servers.Qualifications• Previous experience with complex Information Technology (IT) projects• 8+ years’ experience working as a business analyst in a IT/Cloud capacity• Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis tasks, including sorting, filtering, and summarizing large datasets. • Strong understanding of Excel formulas and functions for data manipulation, calculations, and analysis.• Skill in creating PivotTables to analyze and summarize data dynamically.• Ability to create various types of charts and graphs in Excel to visualize data effectively.• Knowledge of data validation techniques in Excel to ensure data accuracy and consistency.• Proficiency in applying conditional formatting to highlight important data points and trends.• Familiarity with importing data into Excel from different sources and exporting data to other formats for sharing and analysis.• Ability to clean and preprocess data in Excel using techniques such as removing duplicates, correcting errors, and standardizing formats.• Understanding of Excel tables and their advantages for managing structured data efficiently.• Ability to create data models in Power BI to structure and organize data for analysis.• Proficiency in using Power Query to clean, transform, and reshape data from multiple sources for analysis.
