Senior Business Analyst (Deposit Liabilities)We are looking for a Senior BA that has strong deposit liabilities lifecycle background for a minimum 6 month contract opportunity with our client. The Senior Business Analyst is a key liaison between the business and Information Technology group. This individual will be responsible for requirements planning and management; elicit, analyze and validate requirements for new or existing process, policies, and information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals on time and within budget.RequirementsDeposit Liabilities ExperienceExperience with savings/deposits/fixed term deposit lifecyclesFamiliarity with the loan application/origination processExperience with core banking platformsUnderstanding of banking account maintenance and servicingSAP knowledge/experience an assetExperience writing/creating business requirement documents (BRD’s)Solid knowledge of SDLCSolid knowledge of PMLCRelated Experience:7+ years of Experience creating Business requirement documents and experience in managing requirements from project initiation through to production release.Strong financial services knowledge of on-line banking, retail banking, mortgage lending and visa processing at a minimum.Experience leading detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving business systems issues.Good listener with ability to document requirements in a manner that is detailed enough and clear enough to support downstream design and development activitiesSpecialized Skills:Solid knowledge of on-line banking, retail banking, mortgage lending and visa processing at a minimum.Solid understanding of current IT infrastructure components – needs to be aware of what we have in support of reuse where possible.Strong customer focus and demonstrates a service oriented cultureExcellent analytical, attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.Strong English written/verbal communications skills are a must.Ability to provide mentoring/coaching on best practices to project teams/junior team members.Demonstrated ability to work independently with focus on time management to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic team environment.Advanced level on Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio.Results orientedProcess driven – understanding of business process re-engineering would be an advantageGood organization and coordination skill and attend to detailsAbility to help influence peers and leaders for best possible outcomesBusiness Requirements Elicitation and Process Flows:70 %Testing:10 %Performance Management:5%Risk and compliance:15 %Business Requirements Elicitation and Process FlowsMay act as a team lead for the requirements gathering process for projects, maintenance releases or support trouble shooting for defect resolution.Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business clients and other stakeholders to gather business and process flow requirements.Accurately/completely translate results of requirements gathering sessions into useable project documentation.Ensure requirements captured are clear (i.e. written in business language), accurate and detailed enough to support downstream design and development activities efficiently and effectively – i.e. there should not be room for “interpretation” of the business requirement by others.Analyses and documents E-2-E business processes and flow “AS IS” vs. “TO BE”. Communicates impact of changes for implementation planning.Updates requirements documents as required to keep them current – throughout the full lifecycle of a product. (Pre & Post Production.Participates during training and/or knowledge transfer sessions as needed – i.e. train-the-trainer, new Bas, etc.Ensures business requirements are clear and captured in such a manner to provide full traceability though the PMLC and SDLC to support quality assurance of applications prior to their release into production. Establish the team / manage people, process and toolswith consideration for each of the following:Creates business requirements.Creates functional requirements.Creates user (stakeholder) requirements.Creates implementation (transition) requirements.Creates report specifications.Creates / maintains the traceability matrix.This is a minimum 6 month contract with likely extension located in downtown Toronto (work from home until deemed safe).
