Integrated Engineering Design Group
Morrison Hershfield’s Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential, and commercial clients with a focus on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education, and food/beverage facilities that require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. Our team is recognized as leaders in the field.
Responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems designs, specifications, and drawings for all building types.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to obtain project information and discuss specific design-related problems.
- Create and present technical reports on the nature, status, and results of design or study assignments.
- Recognize the implications of assigned work on the work of other disciplines and ensure necessary coordination occurs.
- Conduct construction review activities, including site review of construction work progress.
- May supervise and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15 or more years of experience in designing mechanical systems within the consulting engineering industry
- Current P.Eng. license holder
- Experience working independently, without detailed supervision
- 1 year of project management experience will be considered an asset
- Strong computer skills, ideally including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- LEED Accreditation will be considered an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
