We are currently searching for a dynamic Senior BIM Designer to join our expanding civil infrastructure division. In this role, you will collaborate closely with design engineers from various subject areas, contributing your expertise to our multidisciplinary projects. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with civil engineers and other team members both internally and externally to plan and set up BIM models for civil engineering projects.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior BIM designers, providing guidance and supporting their professional development.
  • Setting up and managing project data environments, ensuring effective organization, storage, and accessibility of project data throughout the lifecycle.
  • Producing and developing complex civil infrastructure models including roads, highways, drainage systems, and utilities in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Generating detailed civil engineering drawings and documentation in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Working closely with engineers to interpret sketches and markups, and translating them into accurate BIM models with minimal supervision.
  • Taking responsibility for own work and reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
  • Preparing equipment schedules, quantity takeoffs, and other project deliverables using model elements in Autodesk Construction Cloud and other relevant software.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in BIM modeling and design within the civil engineering team.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities or a strong desire to develop leadership skills within a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud (formerly BIM 360), Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and NavisWorks is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Consistent record of working in a team-based environment, demonstrating excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • A proactive and highly motivated approach to work, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
