We are seeking a Senior Bilingual Account Manager to join our Disability Concepts Inc. team in Calgary.

The Senior Bilingual Account Manager will provide exceptional internal leadership and client-focused operational support. The Senior Bilingual Account Manager will be assigned a portfolio of clients and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a variety of general administrative and transactional activities to ensure efficient and timely processing while delivering outstanding client service. They will help support the rest of the Account Management team with ongoing projects, complex contract questions, and internal inefficiencies. The successful candidate will be an exceptional team player who is highly solutions-focused and be able to confidently address complications or concerns raised by clients in order to deliver a premium customer service experience.

The Senior Bilingual Account Manager will:

  • Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner, applying advanced problem-solving skills to resolve client concerns and challenges.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding and detailed knowledge of client benefit plans, and provide expertise, education, and guidance to clients to enhance their understanding and use of products and services.
  • Perform initial processing and ongoing management of all employee changes that impact coverage such as new hires, terminations, name and beneficiary changes, salary changes, etc.
  • Process and deliver all new insurance policies to employees with appropriate correspondence.
  • Ensure all data is accurately entered and consistently engaging in reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
  • Create monthly client bills and reconcile data to employee transaction records.
  • Manage all client payments and balance client financial accounts monthly.
  • Ensure all information from the insurance provider is accurate and processed in a timely manner by performing frequent audits and reconciliations of data.
  • Record all financial transactions for new business and terminations.
  • Create and deliver correspondence to employees to communicate how particular changes impact their existing coverage.
  • Provide initial submission and ongoing management and monitoring of employee insurance claims to ensure efficient and timely processing.
  • Help to manage projects that improve efficiency and business processes.
  • Offer support to other Account Managers in their day-to-day roles.
  • Assist with implementation and onboarding process for new clients.
  • Other general administrative tasks as needed.

To be successful as the Senior Bilingual Account Manager you will need:

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize and plan work activities in a busy environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to frequently changing work loads and quickly respond to the needs of the client coupled with key strengths coping in high stress situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
  • To be reliable, hard working, and self-motivated.

All-star candidates will have:

  • An LLQP certification is required or be able to pursue upon hire.
  • 5+ years experience working with corporate health benefit plans.
  • Degree or Diploma in Business or related subject area.
  • Advanced technology skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual English/French
