Who We're Looking For:

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of our backend systems. Leveraging your extensive experience in software engineering, you will contribute to the creation of robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions. Additionally, your leadership skills will be valued as you collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior developers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science).
    7+ years of experience with JavaScript (Node) - Bonus points for python.
  • 3+ years experience with MongoDB (Mongoose ORM) Infrastructure, RabbitMQ, Lambda Functions, and AWS services with a focus on security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Experience working in agile development environments, with demonstrated effectiveness both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and the ability to analyze and report on data for business intelligence.
  • Familiarity with data security compliance and policy enforcement.
  • Experience in scripting and automation for various tasks, coupled with an understanding of DevSecOps principles.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Design and develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable backend systems using cutting-edge technologies and best practices. This includes leading backend redesign and rebuild initiatives, showcasing proficiency in JavaScript and React, and managing AWS services for optimal performance and robust security.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver new features.
  • Architect and implement seamless API integrations with external services and applications.
  • Optimize backend code for enhanced performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, promote knowledge sharing, and elevate code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, utilizing Python for AI-related tasks, scripting, and automations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging backend technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into our development process as appropriate.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Actively participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospective meetings.
  • Apply DevSecOps principles to bolster system security and contribute to security-related initiatives and practices.
