Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Data Analyst to join our Player Safety & Inclusion (PSI) team; reporting to the Senior Manager of PSI Analytics. You will play a pivotal part in meeting the increasing demand for data-driven insights that shape our decision-making processes. Working within an exciting and cross-functional environment, you will collaborate with several teams to enhance the safety and enjoyment of our players within the rapidly expanding UGX initiative. As a necessary member of our Data & Analytics team, you will foster relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration with fellow data analysts, data scientists and other data professionals. Expect to be challenged by complex data systems and processes. Your responsibilities may span diverse projects, from developing actionable KPIs to measuring the impact of UGC and player communication moderation efforts, to assisting data scientists in fine-tuning models and collaborating with product managers and designers to design in-game experiments and products.

Hybrid or onsite work at the Vancouver office location. Fully remote work available.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Product Managers to design, develop and analyze the impact of newly developed products and solutions within the game and provide recommendations in a clear, understandable, and actionable way that will affect future iterations.

  • Analyze performance and impact of ML models on player experience to influence data scientists on future iterations.

  • Profile, clean and analyze data through SQL, R/Python and other database technologies.

  • Identify data quality issues that impact the results of our analyses, assess downstream impact and propose feasible and effective solutions.

  • Partner with data engineers, architects and QV to develop ETLs and stored procedures.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Data Science, Business, Mathematics, Economics)

  • 4+ years of experience doing complex quantitative analysis to help guide decisions, in a consumer products-oriented industry (e.g. gaming, entertainment, e-commerce)

  • Advanced knowledge in SQL and relational databases

  • Proficiency analyzing large datasets in programmatic analysis tools (e.g. Python, R)

  • Experienced in dashboard development (i.e. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)

  • Experienced with experimental design and applied statistics

  • Direct experience working with online trust & safety or content moderation preferred



BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $89,300 - $123,000 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
