Job Description
Our client is a Global Real Estate company who are headquartered in Vancouver. As their finance team undertakes a large project, they are seeking an Analyst to join their team on an initial 12 month contract with the likelihood of becoming permanent.
The Role:
Advance the firms' agenda for driving portfolio-level insights by contributing to scenario modeling, cash flow forecasting, leverage, and liquidity analysis. Develop, manage, and enhance complex financial models to analyze the portfolio using Excel, Anaplan, or other tools. Analyze portfolio exposures, return attribution, and market trends, and support the creation of presentation materials for the Investment Management Team, Senior Management, and the Board of Directors. Validate and reconcile data collected from various systems and assist with data process improvement projects. Collaborate with multiple teams to maintain and enhance proprietary databases and reporting dashboards for accurate and timely reporting. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management reports for Senior Management, the Board of Directors, and BCI.The Candidate:
University degree with a major in business, finance, mathematics, accounting, or economics. CPA, CFA, CBV, MBA, or other relevant professional designations are considered assets. 3+ years of experience working as a finance analyst or senior finance analyst. Previous experience in an investment management firm, real estate company, advisory firm, or fund servicer is considered an asset. Strong financial modeling experience, familiar with "what if" scenario mapping and financial analysis. Experience developing financial models in Excel or other tools to represent complex business scenarios. Ability to manage large data sets and familiarity with best practices for organizing and validating data before analysis.
