YOUR MISSION

As part of the Business Development Finance team, the Senior Business Development Analyst will be responsible for developing financial models to support the various business lines in growing and diversifying their sectors. You will maintain close links with other Cirque du Soleil sectors (production, accounting, legal, marketing, operations) in order to understand and align the main components of our business plans and models, and provide appropriate strategies and recommendations on these.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Design, create and produce analyses, models, presentations and proposals that guide the company's strategic direction;

- Plan critical steps for business plan development based on project phases, management schedule and business needs;

- Validate model assumptions with internal and external stakeholders;

- Prepare comprehensive sensitivity analyses;

- Create project-based financial projections in support of the strategic planning process

- Build and maintain profitability models by product type, as required

- Summarize key assumptions, deal terms and analyses in concise documents for senior management and external partners;

- Transfer project knowledge to various areas of Finance when the project is approved and becomes active;

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant information and data;

- Prepare and present documents for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors;

- Confirm that legal documents reflect modeled operating principles;

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

- Minimum 5 years' experience in strategy, business development or corporate planning;

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (administration, finance, accounting, management, engineering, actuarial science, etc.);

- CPA designation or graduate degree an asset;

- Excellent strategic and analytical thinking;

- Ability to communicate, influence and persuade;

- Ability to deal directly with customers and develop and maintain strong customer relationships;

- Strong modeling, operations research and financial analysis skills;

- Strong experience of MS Office suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel);

- Strong sense of responsibility, diligence, resourcefulness and autonomy;

- Strong attention to detail;

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;

- Ability to prioritize, exercise exceptional diligence and meet tight deadlines;

- Ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment;

- Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills;

- Excellent command of English and French.
