Overview

As part of the ERP Modernization and business transformation, we are implementing a best-in-class ERP solution. We are now looking for a Co-Lead - ProgrammingWorkstream - French Services to contribute to the design, build and implementation of the new solution.

The Co-Lead - Programming Workstream for French Services will be key resources on the ERP modernization project. Working with the Co-Lead from English Services, the Lead(s) will be responsible for overseeing one business process within the project, and supporting the business process owners (French and English Services) to ensure the high-quality implementation of a new ERP solution.

Reporting to the ERP Business Lead, Business Project Manager and The Project Director, they will act as a single point of contact and coordinate the solution in the Programming area (French & English Services) with the support of the other Co-Lead Programming and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). They will ensure that relevant issues from their work streams are escalated to the operational and working teams.

Working collaboratively with a peer from the system integration team, you will be a member of the working committee meetings. Be present, participate actively during team meetings and contribute to meeting discussions.

They will implement practical process improvements, identify opportunities to use increased automation and straight-through processing and understand the cost, time and impact of any changes to the broader teams.

Please note that this is a long term contract position with an approximate duration of 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to execute a fit-gap analysis of the current state processes and systems, identifying gaps, pain points and inefficiencies, defining the future state and having the required skill level to uncover potential improvements.

  • Participates in the preparation of future state systems and processes. This includes defining business requirements, defining and documenting future state processes and proposing and evaluating solutions to improve efficiency, controls, and automation.

  • Collaborates with other workstream leads when processes overlap to resolve any issues.

  • Coordinates Business approval for requirements and detailed design documents in alignment with the process owner and SMEs of other locations within your process. Facilitates workshops to document business requirements and review system iterations.

  • Manages the preparation of all project documentation (design and configuration specifications, test plans and scripts etc.)

  • Coodinate the project activities of Subject Matter Experts.

  • Delegation from the process owner to make decisions on project activities for your workstream within the project scope.

  • Report to your process owner on the project progress and decisions made and have transparency about the actual project status in your functional area.

  • Coordinate with your business workstream, SMEs and data analyst to expedite any data cleansing needs before migration.

  • Ask relevant questions/pay attention to details in workshops and translate the discussions into business language.

  • Participate in Testing in Integration Testing (ITC) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Perform data validation activities.

  • Support the creation of communication and training materials.

  • Supports the programme governance processes.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

  • 2-3 years experience in programming services, business and rights and/or accounting for programming.

  • In Depth understanding of programming contracts and rights management.

  • Experience working in an ERP environment SAP, Oracle and Workday experience will be considered an asset.

  • Experience with Broadcast Management Systems (Avatega, OnAir etc.).

  • Understanding of SPEC (Programs, Contracts & Rights, Vendor etc.).

  • Experience with data-driven tools and ability to handle large volumes of data (TM1, Excel, Cognos).

  • Project management skills and experience working across functions, multiple sites and cultures.

  • Quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional accounting designation – CPA an asset.

  • Strong understanding of financial and operational process flows.

  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet scheduled and unexpected deadlines.

  • Must possess a high degree of creativity, initiative and motivation in developing solutions to problems of a complex nature.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and sound judgment.

  • Time commitment - will start part-time and evolve full-time.
