The Role:

As a Senior Accounts Payable Administrator at Misteelco Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing our accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions. This role involves hands-on management of invoices, vendor relations, and assisting in the smooth operation of our accounting team. Key responsibilities include:

● Reviewing all branch invoices, including inventory, freight, inter-company transactions, and operating expenses.

● Ensuring accurate coding and approval of invoices in accordance with corporate purchase order policies.

● Coding of Company Mastercard statements and Employee Expense claims.

● Downloading and processing invoices from various websites.

● Accurately entering accounts payable invoices and credit notes into Steel Manager 3.

● Assisting branches with statement reconciliation and resolving account discrepancies.

● Managing vendor records and bi-monthly vendor payments (Cheques, EFT, Wire, and online payments).

● Add, maintain and retire vendors in the company databases.

● Assist with month-end closing to ensure all expenditures are captured and recorded in proper period.

● Filing unpaid and paid vendor invoices accurately and timely.

● Supporting the team by answering telephones and assisting as needed.

● Additional related duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a hands-on, self-starter attitude with excellent attention to detail are essential. The candidate should have experience in accrual-based accounts payable systems and the ability to develop trust and respect within the team and with internal customers.

We are looking for an individual who works well in a team environment, possesses analytical abilities to identify key issues and opportunities for improvement, and has a desire for continuous self-improvement. The successful applicant will be able to manage their workload effectively, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and exhibit a commitment to professionalism and excellence.

Position Details:

● Salary: $34,580.00 - $36,400.00 per year

● Typical weekly hours: 7-hour shift, Monday to Friday

● Availability: Must be available to work days
