The successful candidate will be a designated accountant or CPA in-progress, public practice career-focused individual who is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm wanting to further develop their accounting and taxation skills. The available Senior Accountant position will be a progressive position with opportunities for professional development and advancement.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
- Prepare financial statements and corresponding notes.
- Prepare and/or review personal and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare year-end tax forms (T4s and T5s).
- Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE).
- Investigate and correct discrepancies/irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.

What you must have:
- CPA designation in-progress, passed CFE or CPA designated
- Sound knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook, review procedures, and tax compliance.
- 1+ years' experience in public accounting with public company client experience.
- Familiar with CaseWare, Microsoft Office, and Tax Prep.
- An innovative thinker, comfortable in a team and client-focused environment.
- Self-starter, able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
- Able to interact with clients, co-workers, Managers, and Partners.
- Able to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary/Rate Range: $70,000 - $90,000
