Overview of Role:

We are looking to hire a Senior Accountant - Mergers & Acquisitions in our Saskatoon office. The successful candidate will be part of a professional services team focused on supporting the due diligence, integration, and financial management/reporting processes for acquisitions across Canada and the US. The work is fast paced, continuously changing and unique in the Saskatoon market.

You will work directly with our accounting, tax and legal team members to participate in the acquisition due diligence process in collaboration with both internal and external professional groups including:

  • Organize financial due diligence files to help deals progress efficiently
  • Interpret and examine financial information and other business data to gain an understanding of the financial statements and underlying business
  • Scrutinize historical financial statements, forecasts and underlying assumptions to validate earnings and identify risks
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed financial models, including scenario analysis
  • Assist with integration of new acquisitions to ensure that appropriate accounting procedures and monthly reporting is in place

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Professional designation, or currently in progress of obtaining a professional designation, would be considered an asset (CPA, CFA, or CBV)
  • 3+ years of experience in an accounting and finance environment.
  • Multi-industry exposure and previous public accounting is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
