Seismic HSE Field Representative Humboldt, SK Description: Brunel is seeking a Seismic HSE Field Representative to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in HSE within the energy or mining industries, with a focus on seismic activities. This role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within seismic operations. Responsibilities: HSE Compliance: Ensure all seismic activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols. Maintain and update HSE documentation, including safety data sheets, risk assessments, and incident reports. Risk Management: Identify potential hazards associated with seismic operations and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement control measures. Monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Training and Education: Deliver HSE training programs for seismic field personnel. Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about emergency response procedures and safety protocols. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in HSE practices. Incident Management: Take part in investigations into HSE incidents and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions. Prepare and submit detailed incident reports to management. Coordinate emergency response efforts in the event of an incident. Field Operations Support: Provide HSE support and guidance during seismic survey planning and execution. Participate in daily briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety messages. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety gear. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory bodies, local communities, and other stakeholders on HSE matters. Participate in public consultations and community outreach initiatives related to seismic activities. Address HSE concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE within the mining industry, with a focus on seismic activities. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable to seismic operations. Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote field locations. Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather. Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment.
