McDougall Gauley LLP, one of Saskatchewans oldest law firms with over 100 lawyers (over 200 people total), continues to grow and invest in digital transformation. Our firm is now accepting applications for a Security/Infrastructure Engineer on-site in our Saskatoon office to orchestrate cloud migrations with a critical eye on client data security and privacy.As a key member of our collaborative IT Team, the Security/Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure and security systems through cloud migrations and beyond. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong technical expertise, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a legal environment.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.Strong knowledge of network and security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.Minimum of 5 years experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and security roles, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.Comfortable with SQL DBA activities (reports and maintenance).Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage systems.Advanced analytical, problem-solving skills, and time management skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.Professional certifications such as CISSP and CISM or equivalent are desirable.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Security Engineering:Participate as a key member of the IT Security Team and Incidence Response Team.Cloud Infrastructure Management:Design, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud IT infrastructure.On-Prem Infrastructure Management:Design, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, and secure switching and routing infrastructure.Collaboration and Support:Work closely with the IT team to provide support and guidance on infrastructure and security-related issues.Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to ensure the firms security and infrastructure are strategically up-to-date.
