Here, you will make an impact by:Strong collaboration with leaders at assigned 3M locations regarding:workplace violence prevention, training, and related investigationsphysical security infrastructure consultation and leadership in partnership with the Integrated Security Solutions teamsecurity surveys at assigned locations including identification of deficiencies and recommending thorough, cost effective solutions.implementation and management of Global Security policies and proceduresSecurity and compliance investigations from inception to conclusion, including interviews, evidence collection and review, and completing professionally written reports suitable for review by executive leadership.Collaborate on, and contribute to, existing security programs, including C-TPAT, Global Security Operations Center, Insider Risk and Workplace Violence Prevention, M&A project support, Crisis Management, and Executive OperationsMaintain productive relationships with third party security services vendors, internal business partners, law enforcement, and government agencies.Participate in cross-functional teams, some of which are comprised of senior level leaders.Other duties as assigned.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Seven (7) years of combined experience in a law enforcement agency, corporate security department, or insider risk mitigation team in a private, public, government or military environmentThree (3) years managing and conducting complex and sensitive investigations.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Track record of implementing security programs.Minimum of 3 years experience managing projects and/or evaluating processes within an organizationAdvanced degree or certification in a security related field (e.g. Certified Protection Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Threat Manager, Crisis Management)Strong interpersonal and communications skills including the ability to operate effectively with all levels of an organization.Familiar with security technologies, products, applications, evaluations, operations, and security issues in a global manufacturing organization.Foreign language skills, while preferred, not required.Strong report writing skills, public speaking and well-developed time management skills.Knowledge of Microsoft OfficeWork location:London, Ontario and/or Greater Toronto Metro Area, Canada; remote work may be considered for individuals located in an area with a significant 3M presence.Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: May be authorized3M Canada welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
