Job DescriptionWhat makes you great for this role?You have strong research, investigative and problem-solving skills to provide operational and technical support in IT security related incidents and the measurement of IT security analytics.We have:A team of highly skilled, dedicated and collaborative staff to work withLeadership that supports youAn enterprise that embraces changeA work environment that has flexible work locations (including remote), hours of work and overall employee wellness supportYou have:Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related field3+ years of IT experienceTechnical security skills to detect and defend against cyber-attacksKnowledge of IT infrastructure, application, network best practices and emerging trendsKnowledge of TCP/IP, IPSEC, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, NAT, Layer 2 & 3 networkingAn understanding of encryption standards/techniques, and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automated tasksStrong research, problem solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot system issuesNice to have:Post-secondary major in Computer SecurityWork experience related to SSCP, Security+, CISSP, CEH and OSCP1+ year of IT Security experiencePractical understanding of agile methodologyWhat you will do:Provide first level security support including detection of issues, incident response, remediation and prevention occurrence measuresExamine and investigate alerts, resolve configuration errors in the network or deployed software and create/update IT security documentsEscalate significant IT security issues and comply with incident response process including taking systems/devices offline to safeguard MPAC assets as directedAssist external agencies in security testing ensuring reports are accurate and completeMonitor and report on all IT security platforms, dashboards and systems and maintain application and system log, providing data analytics to senior team members and managerSupport business systems while adhering to security standards and practices in place as well as research new forms of best practices and provide analysisAid in the development and maintenance of KPI dashboards and security metric reports and conduct security vulnerability scansUtilize scripting languages to design and implement automated repetitive security tasks.Additional Information: Requisition ID: 2060 Job Type: Union Closing Date: July 3, 2024 Ready to apply?
