Job Description:
Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 5R9) and The University of Manitoba, Department of Internal Medicine are inviting applications for Section Head, Hepatology.
The successful candidate will lead a group of academic hepatologists in a busy and expanding liver disease program. They will report to the Head, Department of Internal Medicine and Provincial Specialty Lead Internal Medicine. Proven leadership abilities, administrative skills, and interests in furthering undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education in Hepatology are essential. A track record of productivity in lab-based, translational, or investigator-driven clinical research in Hepatology, along with demonstrated collaboration within and outside their current department/institution, are assets.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Internal Medicine and Hepatology. They must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Candidates must demonstrate broad experience in clinical management of liver diseases (including pre- and post-transplant).
Compensation:
Compensation is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
