School Governor (Thorpe Primary School)
Thorpe Primary School is a wonderful, multi-cultural school where children feel safe, happy and secure, and leave well-prepared for the next phase of their education. An engaging and innovative curriculum inspires children and equips them with skills, experience and confidence to achieve their best. We strive for children to develop into successful learners and well-rounded individuals through high quality teaching and pastoral care across the school.
Our dedicated staff work incredibly hard to secure good outcomes for children. They work together to ensure the curriculum we offer is purposeful and memorable for all children as well as offering a wide range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities.
Our provision is enhanced by our good relationships with parents, Academy Committeeand the wider community, all of whom we work in partnership with.
We are an outward facing school. We are proud to belong to Peterborough Keys Academies Trust, and this gives us the opportunity to collaborate with other schools. We also work with an extensive network of education providers, businesses, and charities within Peterborough and beyond. These networks allow us to offer our students a rich blend of opportunities.
As a member of our Academy Committee you will serve as a volunteer to carry forward the vision, values, ethos and strategic direction of the school, which is in line with the Trust’s vision and strategic plan; hold senior leaders to account for the educational performance of the school, and ensure that the voices of stakeholders are heard.
