Type: ContractLocation: Hybrid (Mississauga - Onsite Hybrid)Duration: 12 months - 1 YearRate: Based on ExperienceThe SAP Technical Specialist position is responsible for managing ABAP Development, configuration,business process changes, developing functional & technical specifications, testing as well as writinguser manuals and training documentation and for providing business consultancy, change leadershipand system support in the SAP System.This role engages directly with business users, process owners, management and IT colleagues.Purpose of position:To provide ABAP development and technical support for all Canada SAP systems.Reporting Structure:This position reports directly to the Director, IT. There are no direct reports to this position.Business and Technical SkillsStrong technical competency in ABAP and SAP configuration, particularly in SD (Sales andDistribution) and MM (Materials Management)Design and deliver effective and efficient applications by developing solutions relating to our SAPenvironmentProviding support in customizing the SAP solutions to meet our critical business needsCompletes requirements-gathering and unit testingProviding technical design, programming, QA testing and debugging of completed programsExperience with SAP ECC 6.0, ABAP, ABAP Objects, EDI Workbench & IDocs, EnhancementFramework (BADIs/User Exits)Experience in development of SAP interfacesProgramming experience in the areas of EDI and application integrationSAP implementation experience for one or more full lifecyclesExperience with newer SAP development tools (WebDynpro, Document Builder, Adobe InteractiveForms, Fiori, UI5)Experience developing SmartformsUnderstanding of SAP ABAP Authorization ConceptEducational backgroundDegree / Diploma in Computer Science or relatedSAP Certified Development Associate ABAP with SAP NetWeaver and/or equivalent experienceInterpersonalForge relationships with the business. Communicate well and clearly, taking the time tounderstand user feedback and incorporate into recommendations and requirementsDemonstrate leadership, flexibility and the ability to lead Business Users and effectively interfacewith various business managers. Consistently achieving consensus is a key attribute of thesuccessful incumbentAbility to handle stressful situations in a calm and measured mannerRequirements7+ years of experience in the process design, configuration, support and trouble-shooting ofresponsible SAP modulesExperience with integration and involving non-SAP ERP systemsOrganized and task oriented. Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects concurrentlyensuring that timelines are balanced with resource constraints and resulting deadlines are metPrevious experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broadbased information systems and utilizing advanced tools and techniques to effect business changeExperience in at least two of the modules: SD, MM, and FICOKey Accountabilities:Analyzes business requirements and designs solutions;Configures SAP modules, primarily Sales and Distribution, Materials Management and FinanceDevelops and supports ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) programs as required;Provides detailed written instruction and documentation, provision of end user support, andtraining on programs and applications in SAP;Collects and analyzes facts to identify problems and provide solutions;Provides end user support for Canada systems as required;Assist with other IT-related tasks and special projects as assigned by the Team Lead and Director,Information Technologies.
