Introduction
Our client, a global leader in animal nutrition, is searching for an experienced Dairy specialist to join their sales team. This role involves partnering with a growing customer base of local dairy producers, requiring an energetic individual who is passionate about people and the animal nutrition industry and committed to providing exceptional customer care in the Central Aberta Area.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote and market the client's products within the Central Alberta region, contributing to the ongoing development of their dairy business.
- Execute feed strategies to increase market share and feed volume.
- Handle customer inquiries promptly, thoroughly, and accurately.
- Assist customers on-farm to measure results and benchmark performances.
- Analyze sales performances and strategic plans to achieve targets.
- Professionally promote and sell the client’s value proposition and services to existing and potential customers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels, contributing to the implementation and realization of sales/account plans for assigned accounts/portfolios.
- Acquire and retain new and potential accounts, building and strengthening customer relations to achieve the client's commercial objectives.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in animal science, animal nutrition and production, or a related beef production field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in livestock feed sales, dairy cattle nutrition and production, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering results. Relevant applied experience will be considered.
- Strong passion for the dairy industry and enjoyment of working in a team environment.
- Ability to balance on-farm rations and develop feeding programs is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to travel to customers and attend sales events.
- Must be passionate about your career and the impact you can make in the dairy industry.
