As our Sales Engineer you can expect to: -Be a strategic member of our Commercial team, contributing to the overall company marketing strategy and executing to exceed targets -Create immediate impact for the organization and “see” the results of your hard work -Feel empowered to make changes collaboratively and quickly Job Responsibilities: -Provide technical expertise to internal sales teams and external customers -Engage with customers and prospects to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions as needed -Collaborate with the Sales Director and Product team to develop technical sales tools that -Assist the sales team in customer acquisition -Collaborates with commercial team to provide customers with compelling technical solutions and product education at all stages of the pipeline (pre-and post-sale) -Ability to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches -Attend and actively contribute to internal sales meetings -Stay knowledgeable in your field's updates by continuing to read and study new data -This is a cross functional role liaising with the Commercial and Product teams, and requires both technical and business acumen. As the business grows, there will be opportunity to scale this position into a supervisory role. Required Qualifications & Experience: -BSc. in Computer science or computer engineering required -3+ years of comprehensive experience as a B2B SAAS engineer -Proven proficiency in API tools (XML and RESTful) -Excellent understanding of the sales cycle and solution selling processes -Negotiation and social problem-solving skills -Proven ability to improve efficiency, whether with enablement tools, automation, or analytics -Ability to travel to sales conferences globally (~10% travel) -Fluency in English is a must; fluency in other languages a plus Desired Qualifications & Experience: -Experience using Hubspot is an asset -Familiarity with travel technology is preferred -Experience working in a start-up environment is preferred $80,000 - $90,000 a year What we offer: - Competitive compensation and benefits package - RRSP matching - 4 weeks vacation: taking vacation and personal time is a priority - Work-from-home: at our core we are remote-first company; we also offer our team members the ability to work abroad for up to 2 months per year - Flexible work schedule: we are happy to work with our team to accommodate schedules that work for everyone - Parental leave: we offer leave for all parents and are happy to accommodate the needs of anyone on our team who has children - Engaging work: we solve the hard problems of the travel industry and provide endless opportunities to innovate - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: we strive for a balanced team that values different viewpoints and life experiences and strive to maintain an equitable hiring process - 10% time to allow for self-led learning and exploration of new skills Location Trip Ninja is based in Halifax, Canada and is 100% remote in most areas.
