The position is based in the Vancouver areaThis Sales Engineer is responsible to maximize sales from a selected group of clientele and to generate business from new and existing accounts.This position is responsible for liaison and coordination between the Company and its customers to ensure optimum levels of customer service.ResponsibilitiesMake personal visits on a regular basis to his/her group of clients to develop business,advise of special pricing and services and to generate and receive orders.Resolve customer/client issues and/or problems; liaise with inside sales, creditdepartment and warehouse to investigate and resolve issues; recommendsimprovements and corrective actionsCo-ordinate customer purchases with inside sales department; follow up asrequired/requestedAnalyze customer base to identify further areas of opportunity and to develop newaccountssales forecasts for the next selling year; to review sales results with national Sales Manager on a monthly basis or as required/requestedfor monitoring client/customer creditworthiness and reportingirregularities to credit department and Regional ManagerParticipate in the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training asrequired/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines as required/requestedin special sales functions and trade shows as required/requestedwith territorial planning to efficiently maximize number of sales callscurrent with Company products and servicesliaise with vendor representatives to develop/promote mutual interests; to attendand participate in training/instructor programs as required/requestedin our training program and complete training on products on a regular basisand generate reports as required/requestedQualifications:verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsdegree of accuracy with attention to detailstarter, well organized with ability to multi taskto travel on a daily basis, some overnight travel as required/requestedvalid driver license and maintain clean driving recordliterate, good mathematical skillsEducation & Experience:College or university degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or in a relevant technical fieldFour (4) years experience in a customer service/technical sales capacity preferably withbackground knowledge in pump , plumbing and mechanical/industrial pipe and fittings
