Position Summary:

Haventree is growing and we are searching for ambitious and energetic Business Development Managers (BDM’s) who will help push our vision forward and be able to drive measurable sales results. You are our ideal candidate if you can implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach and strengthens our client relationships. You will actively seek business opportunities that can boost revenue to set our company apart.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of accessibility and responsiveness to broker partners
  • Together with leadership develop an annul account plan aligned to company goals and objectives.
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities within each region to develop business cases and proposals, market, lending areas, promotions, pricing.
  • Monitor ongoing sales campaigns to ensure sales goals are met and to differentiate Haventree Bank.
  • Add value to the broker relationship for retention and growth.
  • Create awareness of Haventree Bank’s products by training and educating brokers/agents via group presentations as well as “one-on-one” sessions.
  • Identify unforeseen needs and opportunities or new brokers/
  • Customer Focus & Empathy
  • Partner with brokers for committed volumes, funding ratios, and any other metrics
  • Work with credit and other departments within the organization fostering teamwork
  • Ensure any changes to Haventree products, policies and programs are delivered to the market in a concise and timely manner.
  • Follow up on leads in a timely manner, ensuring the opportunity is capitalized to increase the customer base.
  • Gather and share competitive intelligence.
  • Manage the annual budget for broker visits and events.
  • Attend industry events as required.

Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:

  • Educational background in sales, or marketing
  • Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP.)
  • Valid driver’s license.

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • You must be bilingual in English and French, comfortably communicating verbally and written
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
  • A sound understanding of the mortgage business
  • Sound judgment and ability to build business relationships
  • Proven track record of sales growth
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Must have at least 5 years of sales experience, and/or underwriting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the mortgage broker network and emerging industry trends.
  • Clear verbal and written communications, and presentation skills
  • Tech savvy and ability to utilise CRM to track sales activities
