Job Description: Sales and Knowledge Coordinator- GTA

Reports to: Sr Sales and Knowledge Manager - Canada

Overview:

This role is for the road warrior , and requires regular travel , including overnights, within your designated market. The work week is Tues-Sat, with the occasional shift to accommodate the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will be based in Toronto and will cover approximately 20+ Sephora’s across the region. The primary function of this role is to achieve retail sales objectives within designated market through strategic planning and in-store sales support, education of Sephora Beauty Advisors, event activation and effective management of Knowledge Rotators.

Reporting to the Sr Sales and Knowledge Manager, responsibilities include the following:

Retail Sales

  • Achieve all sales goals provided by the Director of Field Sales.
  • In partnership with Manager, develop call-cycle and quarterly execution strategies to optimize goal achievement. Adjust plans accordingly, as the needs of the business evolve.
  • Strive to deliver an average retailer ranking within the Top 10 in each location.
  • Prepare weekly sales results and in-store activity recaps to the Field Sales Manager.
  • Take part in all major event set-up and execution, leading the Knowledge Rotators and setting the standard in delivering best in class education and sales.
  • Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with key leadership within our retail partner resulting in increased understanding of the business and achievement of successful sales results.

Training

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of all products as well as ingredients, and lead by example.
  • Train Sephora Beauty Advisors and Knowledge Rotators on The Inkey List, selling techniques and best practices.
  • Manage gratis and deliver to our retail partner as directed by the Director of Education.

Management

  • With the support of the Manager, create and maintain a working schedule that optimizes call-cycle and successfully supports all doors.
  • Execute monthly business reviews and strategy meetings with in-store management, and Manager.
  • Ensure all reports are completed on time, including but not limited to Weekly Sales Recap and T&E.
  • Hold event planning meetings with retailer management to ensure successful outcomes for all events.
  • Responsible for sending recaps of all events with successes and opportunities within 48 hours of event completion.
  • Actively recruit, hire, train and manage Knowledge Rotators. Review performance, coach where necessary, and adjust as needed.
  • With the support of the Manager, create schedules for Knowledge Rotators. Monitor and approve payroll to ensure that budgets are fully utilized to deliver the best ROI.

Communication

  • Share daily feedback on various team communication platforms.
  • Communicate market specific performance and feedback with Manager weekly on one on one calls.
  • Participate in regional meetings and conference calls to provide partnership and creative solutions to business needs.
  • Stay engaged with all retail partners and key leadership to identifying opportunities and celebrations, introduce new product launches and share corporate initiatives.
  • Share relevant feedback with key internal and external partners that affect the needs of the business.
  • Engage in weekly Knowledge Rotator communication on performance and brand focus.
  • Timely return of all phone calls, e-mails and communication from both retail partners and the corporate office within 24 hours of receipt during work week.

Budgets

  • Work directly with Manager to effectively manage T&E and Knowledge Rotator budgets.

Qualifications

  • The Sales and Education Knowledge Coordinator is a client-facing position, expected to be in store 5 days a week, minimally six hours per day, with one office day a month. Working days are Tuesday through Saturday. During launch, holiday and promotional timeframes, office days are not permitted.
  • Two or more years of education and sales experience within the retail cosmetics field with a solid understanding of influencing sales, product knowledge, events, and operations.
  • Strong understanding of Sephora company policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Effective planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales through fostering relationships and providing exceptional brand partnership
  • Ability to work independently to prioritize and achieve results.
  • Must own a car and have a valid drivers license.
