SUMMARYThis position provides in-depth analytical and market research to the Westlake sales organization in order to assess past performance and improve current and future business decisions. This position will be an integral role as the lead analyst for Westlake Pipe and Fittings sales team by providing the unique opportunity to help drive direction and decision making in hopes of growing sales and profitability within the Region. Success in this role will be determined by the ability to provide frequent and standard reporting, while identifying, communicating and helping implement data driven recommendations in a timely manner.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:Work united with the Regional Director of Sales in identifying opportunities to exceed the annual sales budgetFully participate in the preparation of annual sales budget and monthly sales forecastPrepare annual sales expense budget and report sales expenses on monthly basisProduce analysis and provide sound reasoning and explanation to the Regional Director of Sales on Sales Initiatives and market evaluationsConstruct ad hoc presentations and analysis for Sales Management for key customer events, internal sales presentations and target planning meetingsProvide updates on monthly market trends such as Pipe and Fittings Market and Category Share, Housing Market Trends and remodeling trendsScrutinize average sell price and gross margin trends and outline the key drivers for growth or declineDesign, develop and maintain models to evaluate business decisions, including what-if scenariosPerform competitive research Initiatives for upper level sales management and company executivesEnhance, advance and run re-occurring monthly reports, scorecards and other analytical tools in SAP/ COPA Webi reports for NA sales team highlighting current and historical sales trendsAnalyzes current way of reporting and recommends changes and/or additional tools to increase efficiencies and improve reportingProvide training and answer any queries from North American Sales team on SAP/COPA Webi reportsReport and maintain Quarterly Incentive Plan (QIP) and Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) for North American Sales teamEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Business with minor in information technologyDemonstrate advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills (SAP/COPA Webi Reports)Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashionArticulates analysis in a clear and concise mannerExhibit the ability, over time, to distill data into meaningful insights and suggestions to improve salesAnticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answersConstructively challenges business partner assumptions and goalsSkilled user of MS Office applications including Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
