ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)-Accounting diploma from Community College.-2 years accounting experience-OHRS (MIS) Certification and competency (Preferred)-Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access-Knowledge of general ledger, patient accounting, material management and inventory processes ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (Personal Skills and Attributes)-Proven analytical skills and ability to work in complex accounting environment-Ability to cope with demanding time limited assignments-Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization-Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage interruptions and able to adapt to changing environment-Setup and work with multiple complex workbooks in Excel-Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient and Family Centred Care.-Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering with each other to improve the safety of patient care processes and systems.-Demonstrated performance reflecting the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)-Review and post all general ledger financial and statistical activity (including imports, accruals, prepaids, etc.)-Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and prepare working papers for review-Reconcile staffing statistical accounts for accuracy-Ensure data is in compliance with OHRS Guidelines-Maintain Chart of Accounts and required interface tables from source systems to General ledger.-Prepare physician payment requisitions and related reports-Participate in the external reporting system for both financials and statistics-Prepare year-end lead sheets for audit, and provide supporting backup for each account-Support capital asset budgeting and planning initiatives-Maintain and reconcile Fixed Asset Subledger-Assist with special projects as necessary-Assist with departmental mail pickup and distribution As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department.
