Our client - formerly the Bruce, King, and Mokaning (BKM) project, is a leading iron ore producer in South Africa's Northern Cape province. With a production capacity now at 14 million tones, they significantly contribute to the country's mineral exports. Located 29 km from Kathu, their mine in the Southern Kalahari provides a distinct chance for career advancement and development within the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized integrated geotechnical expertise to the mine
- Manage geotechnical investigations
- Ensure structural stability of residue deposits, waste dumps, and stockpiles
- Conduct business intelligence and trend analysis
- Optimize functional processes
- Promote and enforce compliance
- Plan, implement, control, and monitor approved changes
- Ensure quality management within function
- Contribute to functional planning
- Ensure geotechnical structural stability
