This young and dynamic team designs and manufactures wastewater treatment systems around the world, meeting the highest standards and the specific needs of each customer. The Senior Operations Manager oversees the production of large welded equipment which includes machining, cutting and welding. He (she) provides the leadership necessary to improve the team's performance until reaching maximum levels of quality, service, efficiency and safety. The incumbent of this position is responsible for delivering parts and assemblies that meet expectations for performance, quality and time. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the operations organization, including production supervision and staffing, production engineering, purchasing, planning, logistics and quality maintenance of the factory. Main responsibilities: Supervision of a team of 25 to 50 people Maintain a safe working environment and comply with Veolia environmental and safety requirements. Support an environment of continuous improvement as a team:
Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor
and equipment are used effectively to achieve production goals. Develop and implement
operational measures to track progress against objectives. Deliver a quality product on time. Estimate costs for potential work at the Levis location. Maintain and monitor ASME installation code stickers, sections I, IV and VIII.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, production or industrial sciences, an asset. Ten (10) years or more of production operations experience with roles of increasing responsibility; three (3) years or more of experience as an operations manager. Experience leading continuous improvement and lean management programs, hands-on production experience, preferably welding, production and assembly in a low volume/high complexity environment. Ability to read and interpret drawings for production. Mastery and practical experience of MRP and lean production. The ideal candidate will have experience in the steel, chemical, electrical, or oil and gas industries.
