Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit an outstanding Reservations Supervisor to join our room Reservations department. The Reservations Supervisor plays a vital role in establishing a positive experience for our guests as they are the first interaction before arriving on property. They ensure that each reservation is made with meticulous attention, care, and intention, preparing the hotel operations team to welcome guests and provide an exceptional experience. This role offers an exemplary understanding of all operations and will enhance the successful candidate’s professional experience, opening up opportunities for advancement both internally and externally throughout the Tourism/Hospitality industry. Compensation Information:
$23.68 per hour

Physical Requirement:
Light, work activities involve handling loads of 5 kg but less than 10 kg; Predominately working in an indoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

  • Answers phones and completes full cycle reservation requests with the goal of converting calls to rooms booked
  • Communicates booking trends and contributes to the overall strategy to drive business
  • Oversees, trains and monitors all reservations activities, ensuring compliance of approved company processes and standards
  • Assesses the needs of the guest and provides practical suggestions to enhance their planned stay with our destination
  • Ensures all guest inquiries are handled according to established standards
  • Supervises the Reservations Agents and provides coaching to encourage skill development and growth
  • Creates a cohesive Front Office team with shared accountability as it relates to scheduling needs, task delegation, and business volumes

Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field
  • Minimum of two years Reservations or Front Office department experience required
  • Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest experience
  • Proficiency with computers systems required, such as Microsoft Office and Opera
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for exceptional guest service and the ability to anticipate guest needs
  • Focused individual with excellent attention to detail and numbers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
