Job Description

The Harris Poll is seeking a Research Services Manager to work with Maru’s North and East Research Team on diverse research projects and to help solve clients’ business issues. The Research Services Manager will work with a seasoned team of project managers and researchers and will be part of a fast-paced team working to deliver numerous projects across various types and sectors. This person's contributions to the team will help manage numerous projects from kick off through data processing and lead the entire project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience with market research project management and is comfortable with multi-tasking across teams and projects to deliver on time and budget.

We are looking for a collaborative, energetic, results-oriented individual who can work across teams. The position requires a candidate who is goal oriented, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and has outstanding technical and communication skills. It will also require the candidate to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The individual must have the ability to maintain strong working relationships across the company and partner with the research team on an ongoing basis


Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple research projects across a wide range of methodologies (offline & online)
  • Act as operational SPOC for project execution from questionnaire set-up to end client deliverables (including, if needed, support in checking final client report deliveries)
  • Day-to-day communication with end-clients and research service team for all project management related matters (project briefings, project updates, material accuracy and material delivery dates, fieldwork updates, data quality).
  • Coordination of all operational tasks & suppliers involved in the project (material/questionnaire revision, online field suppliers, coding, data-processing, analytics and charting)
  • Responsible to ensure full compliancy of the data collected (SPSS and raw data files, codebook, codeframes, data map, etc) as per agreed specs and in line with client deliverables.
  • Develop and run relevant syntax and/or other processes to ensure data validation prior to launch and on final deliveries (Excel or SPSS)
  • Be the SPOC for technical discussion with client and operation teams when it comes to data related matters/queries
  • Fully accountable for project set-up and completion activities
  • Accuracy of briefings/instructions to the various project stakeholders
  • Finalization and checking of field material (questionnaire, stimuli, lists, quota sheets, fieldwork instructions etc) and distribution to relevant stakeholders
  • Questionnaire link checking and validation
  • Supervision/monitoring of fieldwork, proactively liaising with fieldwork suppliers and providing regular updates
  • Coordination, supervision and quality checks of other project-related activities which include (but not limited to) translation, coding, DP, charting, analytics teams along with validation of the various inputs & outputs.
Experience and Skills:
  • 5+ years relevant custom research experience, client or supplier side
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience managing tracking and ad-hoc studies
  • Experience/knowledge of research operations (vendor management, data processing, etc.)
  • Strong project management experience required
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and related computer software packages; familiar with statistical software such as SPSS and Q
