Virden Animal hospital is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician or new grad. We are looking for a passionate committed individual, interested in all aspects of veterinary care in a mixed animal practice. We are happy to train a new grad or welcome an experienced technician into our hospital.We have 4 veterinarians and 2 veterinarian associates on staff. We are a busy, progressive, full-service facility that is 50 % bovine and small ruminant, 30% small animal, and 20% equine. The practice has 24/7 on call and emergency services. The facility is fully equipped for equine, bovine and companion animal surgery, dental, and medical needs. Ambulatory services are available for equine, bovine, and small ruminants. RVT’s rotate through the bovine, equine and small animal areas.We offer competitive salary based on experience (negotiable), CE allowance, staff pet benefits, and much more. Candidates will be offered dedicated mentorship and ongoing guidance from the entire veterinary team.The ideal candidate would have the following traits.-Registered Veterinary Technician-Reliable and confident in animal restraint- Ability to handle small and large animals, assist in daily procedures as needed, and be physically fit- Experience using veterinary software (Cornerstone) is a huge asset- Excellent verbal and written communication- Experience in handling phone calls and clients- Ability to work independently while multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks- Health spending account- Life and AD &D insuranceResume and a cover letter can be sent to Marianna at office@virdenanimalhospital.ca
