outstanding veterinary services, and we are actively seeking an experienced RVT to join our team as a Transfer Coordinator.
Transfer Coordination: Handle transfer calls from other veterinary clinics, ensuring the collection of all necessary information before accepting pets into our hospital.
Information Gathering: Collect comprehensive details about the pet from referring clinics, including medical records, lab work, and any relevant information.
Availability Checking: Liaise with various hospital departments to check availability for transferred cases and coordinate accordingly.
Client Communication: In addition to transfer coordination, the Transfer Coordinator will play a crucial role in client communication, ensuring:
Be aware of which patients are primary ICU patients.
Send brief text updates to the owners in the morning before 9:30 am after discussion with C
ritical
C
are
clinician on content of update.
Track patients discharged from the ICU and do a follow-up call within 24-
48 hours
.
Monitor
our
Ezyvet
memos for requests and calls from owners; discuss each with
on
-duty CC vet and handle as many of them as possible.
Send daily case updates for in-patients to
DVMs
automatically the following day.
Prepare, track, and send sympathy cards for pets who died in the ICU
.
Send photos to CC clients daily.
Future task: For special procedures requiring consent,
submit
a consent form to the owner and get a signature (procedure and details in process with Rachel).
Patient Updates:
Provide
regular updates to clients on the status of their pets, including communication on their well-being and progress.
Documentation: Ensure all necessary information, including lab work, x-rays, and records, is collected before any confirmed or potential transfers.
Cardiology Department Support: Work in our Cardiology Department 1x a week,
assisting
with various tasks within the service.
Qualifications:
Accreditation as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Prior experience in surgery or cardiology departments is

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Salary: From $26-27 per hour depending on experience
Expected hours: 20 hours (2x10 hour shifts) part-time
