BAND J Range: $39.10 - $56.05Responsibilities
The Surgical Admission and Discharge Unit (SADU) is a fast paced, dynamic environment. As a member of the Surgical team, you will be responsible for the admission of and post-operative (phase II) recovery of both adult and pediatric surgical patients. You will be actively participating in patient safety and patient advocacy throughout the care experience while working in an inter-professional team environment.Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- RN with undergraduate nursing degree preferred or equivalent appropriate and applicable experience
- Current BCLS certification
- 2 years of current surgical nursing experience in a day surgery setting, required
- Recent experience in caring for preoperative and postoperative surgical patients required
- Recent experience in an acute hospital surgical setting is required
- RNAO membership is preferred
- Canadian Nurses Association Certification preferred
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Proficient computer skills; working knowledge of Meditech 6.0 an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment

- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
