The Regional Technical Advisor will be responsible for the technical support of key Culligan customers within a geographic area including; troubleshooting assistance, product & water technology training, quality reporting, C&I project assistance, product field testing, and matters of customer satisfaction. Culligan key customers include; franchise dealerships, Industrial end-users, National Accounts, mechanical contractors, and partners in retail products. Support of Culligan products includes standard Culligan-branded products, modified-standard equipment, special engineered systems, and alternative channel products.Specific Job Function:Report regularly on support provided in the region as well as travel-related expenditures.Schedule and conduct regular product training meetings and seminars for dealership associates including service, sales and office staff.Schedule and conduct periodic Household Service Training Schools within the region.Conduct periodic Commercial Service Training Schools at Rosemont Headquarters, or other venues as assigned by the Director.Provide on-site product support, installation supervision, and operator training on Culligan Commercial and Industrial products.Provide regional support for product field testing by soliciting dealers or following up on participation.Participate in two-way communication of product and service-related information between distribution and Culligan Product Development and Quality Assurance.Support sales growth opportunities through teamwork with Regional Sales Manager, Commercial Dealer Support, and Commercial & Market Development teams.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required; College or technical degree preferred.Experience: 5 years in the water treatment industry.Classroom instructor or teacher is highly desirable.Up to 70% travel.Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).Strong mathematical skills required including understanding of reference materials such as tables and charts.Ability to read and understand plumbing, piping and electrical wiring diagrams.Good mechanical aptitude required; must be able to detect cause of failure in water treatment system components.
