Financial services include a full scope of lending instruments, deposits and investment accounts, and electronic services for both commercial and personal needs.The OpportunityThis is an outstanding opportunity to enhance Peace Hills Trust’s success in Northern Alberta. Reporting to the Vice President of Credit, the Regional Manager will lead the team and operations of the regional office, playing a hands-on role in developing new business opportunities and ensuring customers’ financial needs are being met at the highest level.Responsibilities:Cultivate relationships to increase awareness, realize business opportunities, and expand Peace Hills Trust’s business in Edmonton and throughout Northern Alberta.Source, develop and grow profitable opportunities for new and existing relationships with indigenous and non-indigenous customers.Identify, negotiate and present high quality credit proposals.Achieve asset growth and targets for the region.Manage, mentor, and develop the branch staff to create a productive and effective team.Maintain effective communications with staff and corporate office to ensure continuity in service delivery.Ensure compliance with Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing legislation.Ensure the management and maintenance of client information and files.Provide information and reports to Head Office as required and collaborate on new opportunities.The Ideal CandidateAs the ideal candidate, you are resourceful and entrepreneurial, with a strong drive to succeed. Confident and outgoing, your gift for building productive professional relationships provides a solid foundation for your career, but it is your ability to effectively lead and develop high-performing teams that is taking you to new heights.Qualifications and Requirements:Post secondary education in business, economics, finance, or equivalent.7+ years of experience with a financial institution, including commercial lending and underwriting.Excellent business and financial acumen.Strong understanding of residential mortgages, commercial real estate, commercial loans, and lines of credit.Well-developed credit skills, including risk assessment, financial analysis, credit structuring / solutions and presenting the deal.Prior experience leading and developing a team.Proven sales, prospecting, and business development skills.Direct experience with First Nations would be an asset.For further information or to apply please contact:
