Are YOU our ECE DIRECTOR?

We are currently on track to launch our first 3 ECE centres by the end of 2024, and looking for a strong, dynamic leader to join our leadership team. The ECE Director will be strongly involved in the licensing process, curriculum development and marketing initiatives to nurture an enriching ECE environment. We're seeking a dynamic, professional, and expert ECE Centre Director to join our outstanding team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Fostering a warm, welcoming environment: Create a nurturing atmosphere for parents, students, and staff.
  • Overseeing daily operations: Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), City of Calgary Operating Criteria, Program Statement, and Collective Agreement.
  • Managing budgets and payroll: Approve payroll, manage expenses, and ensure accurate reporting.· Securing funding: Apply for city funding when available.
  • Ensuring compliance and safety: Maintain program and ratio compliance with Ministry licensing, and ensure the health and safety of staff and children at all times.
  • Innovative programming: Develop and implement new programs to provide a 5-star experience for children and their families.
  • Extra-curricular activities: Coordinate additional programs to enhance children’s educational experiences.
  • Staff relationships: Foster excellent working relationships, conduct staff meetings, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Parental engagement: Communicate effectively with parents, address concerns, and implement solutions.
  • Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with department heads and participate in Eton Explorers events and activities.
  • Community connection: Ensure children and their parents remain connected with Eton Explorers and the broader community beyond their time at the daycare.

Job Requirements:

  • You are a registered E.C.E. with a proven track record in leading a similar-sized daycare and preschool in Calgary.
  • You are an exceptional educator, inspiring leader, creative programmer, expert communicator, and highly organized administrator.
  • Your passion for working with children and providing an exceptional educational experience is evident in everything you do.
  • You hold yourself and others to high standards, are a self-starter, and an effective manager.
  • Your superior English language skills, both oral and written, are complemented by any additional languages as an asset.
  • You align with the Eton Explorers vision and mission, recognizing the unique opportunity to connect families and staff to a larger community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
