With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality, they are committed to delivering outstanding projects that exceed expectations.We have partnered with them to hire a Real Estate Development Manager in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This role will ensure the successful coordination and execution of a detailed design and infrastructure renewal project. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Development Manager in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As the ideal candidate, you will have a passion for real estate development, excellent project management skills and a strong understanding of the development process from conception through to completion.Key Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Ownership Steering Group, the Real Estate Development Manager will be responsible for:Coordinating and collaborating with design teams, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensuring the alignment of all activities with the overarching master plan and design vision.Applying extensive knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems, including roads, utilities, and stormwater management, to oversee civil infrastructure and site works design and construction. Coordinating the design and construction process, supervising the work of consultants and contractors.Acting as the Owner’s Representative in contracting with various consulting firms for planning, design, environmental, legal, and municipal issues. Leading the project through the approvals process and obtaining all necessary permits.Developing and managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring contractors execute within allocated time and budget. Driving the timely decision-making process within the Ownership Steering Team.Implementing diligent reporting and document management, maintaining comprehensive project records. Monitoring and reporting on relevant industry and project-related issues at various council meetings and public forums.Ensuring Adherence to high-quality construction standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Managing the approval process for securing necessary municipal and agency approvals.Identify potential risks and challenges, formulating mitigation strategies to minimize such risks. Initiate as directed, sustainability and engagement programs, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.As the ideal candidate, you possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field combined with 8 years of experience in real estate development and infrastructure project management, with a focus on managing all phases of the development process. You have a strong understanding of zoning, planning and regulatory processes along with strong, budgeting, financial analysis and modeling skills. You have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
