Position: R&D Project Manager Reports to: Director, InnovationWe are looking for an R&D Project Manager to join our Innovation team! The R&D Project Manager will be responsible for scaling processes from lab or pilot scale to commercial production.OpportunitiesIn this role, you will apply your technical knowledge of relevant equipment and food manufacturing processes to aid in designing and testing pilot or commercial-scale process lines at One Degree Organic Foods. You have the ability to develop SOPs and manuals and to provide the complete training for operations staff.You have excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite & Project management software, preferably Wrike.ExperienceYou have an educational background that will provide the technical knowledge needed for the job.You have at least 5 years’ experience in practical equipment and process design, construction, or manufacturing, or are a certified tradesperson.You have significant experience in project management, preferably in food manufacturing and equipment commissioning. things you will do…Under the leadership of the Director of Innovation, work with the stakeholders to develop all necessary plans for testing, scaling, installing, or upgrading equipment or process lines.Research and recommend, as needed, appropriate equipment.Work with and support the relevant directors or managers to hire and train technicians.Troubleshoot and find solutions for problems.Develop SOPs, manuals, and other needed training tools for commissioning equipment.Liaise with the Projects team in establishing project goals, priorities, and timelines.
