Quantity Surveyor / Consultant, Loan Monitoring | PM Consultancy | VancouverPosted 1 day ago Cost Consultancy Leading cost consultancy focused on independent advisory services, software and data solutions to the global commercial real estate industry Our client, a project management and cost consultancy firm has an opening for a Quantity Surveyor with loan monitoring experience in Vancouver. As a Quantity Surveyor you report to the company Principals and will interact with them frequently. Basic duties and responsibilities: Quantity Surveying: Conceptual estimating, including ‘comparables’ research, high level area-based costing Support for business case preparation Management of cost database, including current intel from contractors/trades and suppliers, and management of our own ‘as-built’ project cost database Keeping current with market trends and forecasting escalation Detailed estimating, including detailed quantity take-offs and elemental estimating Cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships Project management/coordination work from time-to-time Loan Monitoring: Conduct and complete site inspections including photographs Prepare and submit invoices, claims for progress payments, Certificates for Payment, valuation of changes and analysis of progress and recommendation Report to the lender on the overall progress of the project and anticipated completion dates Prepare and submit a preliminary report to the lender before any loan advances are issued to the borrower, confirming the borrower’s equity Develop cash flow projections Track project budget, against cost-to-date and cost-to-complete. Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered. Compensation: 5+ years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience Dependent on experience and education.
