Quality Technician - Day Shift - Monday to Thursday (10h/day)

We are currently seeking a Quality Technician for our plant located in Baie d'Urfé.

Tasks:

Quality control & assurance :

  • Participates in quality system monitoring & audits
  • Manages process analysis of semifinished products
  • Maintains quality program in accordance with current standards and customer requirements
  • Carries out monitoring rounds and internal audits, and follow up on non-conformities identified by daily operational inspection
  • Responsible for all product quality, quality system application, food safety and related decisions
  • Coordinates foreign body investigations
  • Carries out daily documentary audits of production records in connection with positive releases
  • Carries out inspections of all departments' glass and hard plastics inventory program
  • Provides reinforcement/additional training to employees in relation to documentary discrepancies
  • Contributes actively to the promotion of a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Supports production in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices and standards in place to maintain the food safety and security program;
  • Supports production in compliance with requirements related to various certifications (SQF, GMO-free, Organic, Kosher, etc.).
  • Performs microbiological sampling according to established frequency
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of training to meet regulatory and certification requirements (BPI, metal detectors, etc.)
  • Manages equipment discharges at operations
  • Verification and archiving of current production documents as part of the line tour
  • Inspection and evaluation of DDM releases
  • Analysis of MDD counts
  • Performs pre-op sanitation inspectionsIdentify and plate products for quality control evaluation
  • Performs traceability checks
  • Management of CAPA requests

Human resources management :

  • Promote and assist employees in complying with health and safety requirements.

Other related duties:

  • Carries out various related tasks linked to certifications
  • Ensures the application of and compliance with HACCP standards for the maintenance of the food safety and sanitation program
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Supports production in the application of GMPs
  • Supports production in compliance with food safety procedures and various certifications (SQF, GMO-free, Organic, Kosher, etc.).

Required qualifications:

  • Technical degree in food processing or dietetics (or related field)
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry (an asset)
  • Experience in food processing (an asset)
  • Excellent French (spoken and written)
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in work
  • Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Ability to assess a situation as a whole (macro vision) and propose appropriate recommendations
