Job Description
Role PurposeInspect the quality construction materials (aggregates, concrete and asphalt).Review documents and specifications.Maintain daily checklist diary for laboratory activities.Report any non-conformance concerns related to construction material.Execute tests in the laboratory on construction materials to assess their quality.Prepare and collect Aggregates and asphalt samples for laboratory testing.Perform compaction testing by Nuclear Densimeter.Concrete testing and casting samples for lab testing an asset.Ensure the accuracy of test data.Educate and train new staff if needed.Maintain and calibrate laboratory testing equipment.Position Requirements: Diploma/Degree - Civil Engineering Technology / Construction Management an asset.CCIL Certification for Asphalt, Concrete and, or aggregate an asset.Previous Industry or relatable experience an asset.Knowledge of OPSS/ASTM/MTO LS testing procedures is an asset.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.Outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.Superb communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.Our purpose At Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP), our people are second to none.
